On Saturday February 8th, PO National Council chose new National Board. Moreover, a new party body was established – the Political Council, which head will be the former party leader Grzegorz Schetyna.
The Board will have two new Vice-Presidents: President of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski and MEP (head of Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska campaign) Bartosz Arłukowicz. The function of deputy heads were maintained by: former Prime Minister, todays MEP Ewa Kopacz and former deputy Prime Minister, MP Tomasz Siemoniak.
Marcin Kierwiński, the leader of the capital’s structures of the Civic Platform, became the new general secretary, and Łukasz Pawełek became the treasurer (former treasurer’s deputy).
There will be several new people on Budka’s board: Senate Marshal Tomasz Grodzki and MPs: Sławomir Nitras, Cezary Tomczyk, Robert Kropiwnicki and Czesław Mroczek. In the board also remained: Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and PO candidate for the presidency Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Agnieszka Pomaska, Izabela Leszczyna, Urszula Augustyn and Marzena Okła-Drewnowicz.
