President Komorowski to run for re-election

President Bronislaw Komorowski announced on Thursday that he intended to run in this year’s presidential election in a bid to be re-elected to Poland’s top office.

„I have been encouraged to do so by positive evaluations of my work, a high level of trust; in this I see approval for the presidency model I proposed and have pursued for five years, based on dialogue, cooperation and seeking the things that unite and not divide us,” the Polish president said.

The first round of the presidential election will be held on May 10.
