Hungary’s parliamentary elections were held on Sunday (03.04). The ruling conservative Fidesz won decisively, taking a two-thirds majority in the 199-seat parliament, according to data from the National Election Office (NVI).

The coalition of Fidesz and the Christian Democratic People’s Party (KDNP) won nearly 54 percent of the vote, while the united opposition won more than 34 percent. The far-right Our Fatherland party still entered parliament with 6.3 percent. The turnout at 7 p.m., when polling stations closed, was 68.69 percent.

One of the OSCE observers of the election process was Agnieszka Pomaska MP, who reported in detail on social media. After the voting ended, she wrote: -Commenting from the couch on the Hungarian election results, I encourage you to take a closer look at the last months and even years in Hungarian politics. I also encourage you to wait for the OSCE report.
