On Tuesday, December 9 at the invitation of the Finnish Parliament – Eduskunta – Chairman of the European Union Parliamentary Committee Agnieszka Pomaska which is a member of the delegation with Marshal of the Sejm Radoslaw Sikorski went at the one-day visit to Finland.
Members also will go to Rovaniemi, where will visit the University Centre for Arctic and will take part in the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate – the first Polish office on the Arctic Circle. A visit to Rovaniemi will also be an opportunity to visit the Finnish pride – the village of St. Nicholas.
Meetings with the highest authorities of Finland will be an opportunity to discuss closer economic cooperation between the two countries, among others, in sectors such as defense and energy. Politicians will also discuss the situation in the region and the current EU agenda. During the meetings will discuss the prospects of development of cooperation at parliamentary level.
